This is happening right now…

I’ll get after shots of what this was all about tomorrow… watch this space…

these poor souls are going nowhere slowly!! This country should really start investing in emergency lanes… ESPECIALLY on the Gulf road.

Congrats Egypt on your 4-0 victory! Good job!

We had the luxury of watching the game with a bunch of Egyptian friends and what an experience it was. I guess football for them is like rugby for us. And with a win of 4-0 it was awesome. Here are a few pics from when they took to the road after the game.

The other day Kuwait apparently played some sort of football match somewhere in the world. By the look of these guys in their car I take it they won. For those who are not familiar with Kuwaiti culture, it is customary to jump on your car, sing and dance in the street and basically cause absolute traffic mayhem for about an hour or 2 while celebrating victory. Fine if you’re not on the road and desperately need to pee. But if you are and happen to have your camera ready you’re very likely to take pictures like the one above.

I can’t say I completely understand the tradition behind it but in a country where you cannot raise a glass of bubbly and toast ones achievements, I suppose you get creative. If anyone has more light on the subject, I’m all ears.
